The Yates

Today we had dinner with some  long time friends.  I don't know why... but whenever we get together we just crave Mexican food... so we ate at El Rosal after the vigil mass on tonight.  We met when our daughters were in 1st grade together and we've been friends ever since. (About 14 years.)  We've vacationed together, partied together, worked together and even mourned together.  They've been dear friends through thick and thin for a long time.  Chris lost her mom about 10 months after mine died and we really bonded over those experiences.  I don't know what I would have done without her friendship.   Even though we don't see each other as much as we used to (or as much as we'd like) we always seem to fall right back into place whenever we meet up again.  These are the kinds of friendships that last a lifetime... long after the kids are grown.
