Grilled cheese sandwiches are a staple of the Catholic diet on Friday’s during Lent, but they hardly feel like a sacrifice in this house. Ever since I was little, grilled cheese sandwiches have been a comfort food. We didn’t have them very often, but we always enjoyed them when we did.
Nowadays, I use a Panini maker to make the perfect grilled cheese. My favorite ingredients are the sliced sourdough bread, sliced Tillamook mild cheddar cheese (2 slices) and butter on the outside.
