I think I was more excited about my kids getting their drivers licenses than they were. No longer would I be responsible for hauling them from activity to activity… always trying to juggle the schedule. Even with all of the apprehension about their safety, it was like lifting a huge burden from my shoulders.
Now they’re gone a lot of the time, but one of the greatest blessings is when I can get them to run an errand for me so that I don’t have to leave the house. Those are great moments.
Today, Sierra went to the fairgrounds to pick up my photo entires. The fair is officially over and the exhibits were released today. That is the only thing I had to do in town and since she was going in, I asked her to do this task for me. It’s really no big deal, but it saved me about 90 minutes today when you consider the travel time. It gave me some extra time to get caught up on some of the things I’ve been neglecting… including this blog!
