As much as I love the holidays... there is nothing quite like the feeling of restoring my home to it's normal state by putting all of the "Christmas crap" back in the boxes and cleaning up. It is my favorite day of the entire year. I know this sounds harsh, but I think all of the added "stuff" that surrounds us with the holidays adds to the stress of the season... at least I know it does for me. There is such peace with having it all put away. Clutter really does make a difference with my attitude and state of mind. This usually takes place on December 26th (which, by the way is Boxing Day in Canada... I always thought that was appropriate) but this year we delayed it for the Faulkner Family Fun Fest yesterday.
A special thank you to Leroy for bringing in the boxes and dis-assembling the tree, Jared (Sierra's boyfriend) for putting all of the villages back in the proper spaces and to Sierra for assisting, supervising, and restoring the normal decor to it's proper place.
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
