This is a magnificent time of the year to live in the Central Valley of Northern California. You literally get to see the state come to life with the change of the seasons. My mother used to complain that we did not get to experience the change into the fall season because not all of the trees change colors, but the blossoms that come in the spring more than make up for the absence of color in the fall. (In defense of fall... we do have some spectacular autumn colors too, they're just not as abundant as other parts of the country. Most of the orchards around us are almond trees and they have been dormant for the last few months. But the buds are beginning to appear and with the predicted warm weather over the next few days, they landscape is going to change overnight. Follow up in the next few weeks and I'll show you what I'm talking about.
