We flew Alaska Airlines this time and they have a "charge per bag" policy. $20 each way. We tried to carry on as much as possible, only to have it taken away when we went to board. (It was a smaller jet and they claimed that there was not enough room in the cabin... but there was.) That was fine with me... I knew it was on the plane, but I didn't have to pay for it or lug it around myself. I did, however, take issue with checking my camera. There is way too much expensive equipment in here to be trusted to baggage handlers. On the way to Oregon, it went down below, but today I was able to just sneak it up with me. This camera case has been one of the best investments I've ever made. It would be way too heavy to carry all of this stuff myself. I love the wheels on the bottom. The best part is that it's big enough to carry all of my equipment... including my back up camera body and flashes. No excuses for not having the right equipment with me.
