What I'm Doing at 20:11 in 2011... I know, I know.. I write about football a lot. But you have to understand that during this time of year, football fills up a lot of our time. But it's also important to remember why we put so much energy into this sport. On a day like today, it's easy to remember why I love this game.
We had an opportunity to go to Sacramento State to watch Chase Deadder and the rest of the Hornet team play against Montana. To be honest, I've been waiting for this game for 5 years. Chase used to date Sierra in high school and we got very attached to him. We were thrilled when he was given the opportunity to go to a Division I school to play football and we have really looked forward to watching him on the gridiron once again.
This is Chase's final season at Sacramento. He will graduate in December. And although we've kept track of his accomplishments, we had not made it to a game to watch him play, until tonight.
What a privilege to see Chase play once again. Our hearts are of full of pride as we witness how far this young man has gone in the sport. There's nothing quite like the feeling of watching someone you love on the field. We are so blessed to have known the Deadder family for so many years. They have shared their son with us and for that we are truly thankful.
