Tweet Memories

It's funny to me how the simplest, silliest thing can totally make my day. Steel is so far away, but through modern technology it is as though he is sitting in the living room with us. Through Twitter, we can still gang up and pick on Leroy.

The Home Alone movies are Leroy's favorite. He has to watch them if he comes across them on TV, any time of year. He laughs at all the stupid pranks... and we laugh at him. Today when Steel quoted the movie in his original "tweet" I couldn't let Leroy miss it. (He doesn't pay as much attention to Twitter as I do.) I was shocked when he couldn't think of the movie. He came out a few minutes later and said... "Home Alone." He had a sheepish grin on his face, so I knew he had looked it up on Google. (Another thing we tease him about.) -- For the entire conversation see the embedded "tweets" above.

Now this might be one of those situations where "you had to be there" -- sort of an inside joke. But for us these simple exchanges bring warm, fond memories. The best part is reading Steel's statement that he was telling his friends the story during the movie. Turning this family story into a #legendatpacific -  It's a wonderful thing to know that someone so far away... that you miss terribly is thinking of you too.
