One of the best parts of living in Hilmar is the impromptu family gatherings. They seem to happen more and more and that makes me very happy. We didn't really plan on having dinner with the family tonight, but it worked out that way. The best part was that Sierra was even able to join us on her way home from work. Since she's is now full time at the hospital, our schedules do not always match up. It's a sad state of affairs to say that a weeknight family dinner is a graceful moment. Unfortunately, in our society today, it's more of a special occasion than a regular occurrence for most. With busy lives and varying schedules, it's hard to plan a time to be together. I think that's something we need to work on. It might not happen every night, but more than once in a while would be nice.
