One of the best things about living in a small town is that EVERYONE turns out for events. I'm talking the whole town. The baseball fields are an especially popular place these days and today they were packed with friends and neighbors. We went to watch Landon's game and knew it was going to be busy when we pulled into the parking lot. By the time the game was over... it was packed with people coming and going to other games.
I appreciate these kinds of things because it slows things down a bit. It's almost like stepping back in time, when things were simpler and you enjoyed just being out with friends and family on a warm evening. It's really a treat, and since it doesn't happen very often it's easy to see it as a grace filled moment. It's curious how simple things are the things we miss the most.
Who doesn't love a good baseball game?
