Words cannot express how happy I am to see this little flower. This is a big sign that my tomato plants are thriving and doing exactly what I want them to do. I’ve been successful at growing tomatoes in the past, but there have been a few, shall we say, bad years. You see… I LOVE tomatoes. And there is nothing like homegrown. I have 4 plants this year: 2 Early Girl, 1 Beef Steak and 1 Cherry. I also have some basil (yum) cilantro and jalapeño planted. I do not have a green thumb. And while it’s not rocket science to grow tomatoes, sometimes the elements work against me. But apparently not this year. I’ve been taking extra good care of these beauties. I missed out last year and I don’t want that to happen again.
It reminds me of the song from The Sound of Music…. “Some where in my youth, and childhood, I must have done something good.”
I can hardly wait.
