Each year, Central Catholic High School inducts members into the football hall of fame. The dinner is always held on the first Friday in June and it's always a good time. We've been going for several years. But it's only been the last few that we've really appreciated the event because we've personally known the inductees. The three young men inducted tonight were seniors when Sierra was a freshmen. We didn't miss any of those games... and watching the highlights brought back a lot of memories.
Tradition states that the celebration moves to the locker room where you can see the boys' names on the rafters and relive more memories. Former players all point out where their locker was and those of their friends'. They reminisce and tell stories but mostly, the just remember.
Central Catholic High School Football is a unique program and everyone who participates comes away knowing that you were part of something special. The WE philosophy carries on in the players, the fans and what becomes the family. Events like this remind us of the gift it is to say... WE!
