It's been a long, but exciting graduation season for the Rochas. Last night we celebrated Brandon's graduation from middle school. Tonight it was Austin and Lauren graduating as Hilmar High School's 100th class. There were 168 graduating seniors, but the ceremony went pretty quickly. We were treated to a really cool fireworks show immediately after that ended the evening with a bang (pun intended.) It's amazing how much more enjoyable an event is when it is prompt and on task. Situations on this grand of a scale can get ugly fast when things drag on too long. (I'm thinking back to the awards assembly that could use a little reorganization.) I'm all for honoring the students, but it's always best when done in a timely manner. Tonight, Hilmar nailed the timing. Well done.
