It's been 24 hours since I had a Diet Coke/Pepsi. I'm not giving them up completely (I have much worse habits to conquer) but I've come to realize that I need to drink more water and not rely solely on diet soda for my daily liquid intake. (Yes, some days, that was the case.) I did really well today even with the knowledge that there are 2 cans still sitting in the refrigerator. And in replacement, I drank a ton of water. My body is in shock. My new rule is that I can't have a diet soda until I've consumed double the amount of water. Seems fair. It's a least a much better position than I was in previously.
We'll see how tomorrow goes.
