This has not been my best crop of tomatoes. Although the plants are loaded with fruit, they aren't very big, are slow to ripen and just not quite a tender as I would like. (Tough skins too.) But they are fresh, and plentiful... and really easy to access. I usually strip the cherry tomato plant of the ripe fruit each time I water. It's just too tempting. I pick them, rinse them off under the hose and pop them in my mouth. Nature's version of candy. I get to eat as many tomatoes as I want this time of year and that's the best news of all.
