I haven't updated everyone lately on my quest to be a "contact lens wearer." A few weeks ago my doctor decided that I needed to do longer trials so I underwent training to learn how to put them in and take them out. It was really a scene. There was a lot of laughing, crying, grossing out and frustration but I did it. Sort of. After wearing the first pair for 1 week (2 week lenses) I had chipped one and warped the other. (It's been a process.) Anyway... I'm on my 3rd pair of "long-term trails" and I have to say I am a CONTACT LENS NINJA! While I can't see so well when they are in... I am the BOMB and insertion and removal. Today was the first day that I put them each in on the first attempt and then removed them on the first attempt! Go me!
Now we just have to work on the size, shape, brand, prescription, etc. of the lens to get the perfect match. I won't give up on this though... I am not a quitter.
More news soon.
