I can't believe I wore slippers all day long... And a sweatshirt too.  It was FABULOUS!  (Note: It's probably not cold enough for normal people to spend the day in this attire, but I'm usually much colder than those normal people.)  I'm thrilled for arrival of fall.  I realized today that one of the big reasons is for the change (although quite subtle for me) in fashion.  I love sweaters and fuzzy socks and bulky, layered outfits.  I absolutely love coats too.  (Although I have yet to find the "perfect" one.) More than just the change in weather and attire... I love the invitation of fall.  The invitation to slow down, reflect and assess where we are and where we want to be.  If we look at the correlation of the seasons in the year and the seasons of our lives... this is the time when we look back, remember and appreciate all we had, all we have and all we hope for.  This is the season of abundance.  The harvest of  the fruits of our labors.  The sense of grace, of blessing is so easy to experience during this time.  It surrounds us.

Take a few minutes to reflect on your year so far.  I'm sure you'll feel the same.  God is good.

All the time.
