Pin-spiration

Everyone loves to be inspired... and it can come from the simplest of things, people or situations we encounter every day. I think this is the whole reason for the intense popularity in the website Pinterest. It's inspiring and creative. Now I must warn you... Pinterest is highly addictive. As a matter of fact, I have to strictly discipline the amount of time I spend on it. Before today, I can honestly say it's been months since my last visit. (I knew I'd get sucked into all of the Christmas stuff.) I really, really try to avoid or at least limit my visits. And when I do indulge, I always set a timer to remind myself to come back to reality.

The key to happiness is to be satisfied with what you have and inspired to be more. Where we tend to go wrong is when we compare our lives to others around us. When that happens the envy, dis-satisfaction, jealousy or lack of self worth can really throw us into a tailspin. It's not a good place to be.

We can choose how we interpret the world around us. Is life lacking or abundant? Is the glass half empty or half full. It's all a matter of perspective.

I can tell you... the abundance side is a lot more fun.
