Hey Kid: Back Up

We can never hear it too often.  Make sure you back up your important files... Especially photographs.  I'll go one further today... photographs deserve a second back up.  Sort of a back up to the back up.  I learned my lesson the hard way.  I have about 50,000 on a hard drive that I cannot access.  (Circa 2009.)  It's in a safe place, waiting until I can afford to send it to a recovery service (estimated at $3,000) and even then it's not a guarantee I'll get my pictures back. Living in a digital world is wonderful... and accessible.  But you have to set up a system to back up your data.  Cloud computing is a fairly new concept for us but I love it.  It makes life so much easier.  But you have to remember to use it.
