Hey Kid: Henry Ford

This is a picture of Henry Ford.  This guy gets credited for inventing the automobile, but actually, he did something more incredible.  He invented the "assembly line" which lowered the cost of the automobile enough to make it affordable to produce.  The process that he founded and the brand he started so many years still stands today.  (And we are big fans.)  Someday, that's going to be very important to you.  He was a brilliant business man and is still respected and often referenced in business leadership training.  He created a process to work SMARTER and that is the secret to success. I love quotes... any kind of quotes; motivational, inspirational and funny.  I have very long lists.  Some of my favorites come from Henry Ford.  They are simple thoughts to inspire you to build a successful life.  I still think there's a lot to learn from this man.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person's point of view and see things from that person's angle as well as from your own.

It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.

Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do.

There is no man living that can not do more than he thinks he can.

When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.

Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars.

Vision without execution is just hallucination.

There is no man living who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can do.

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.

I cannot discover that anyone knows enough to say what is and what is definitely not possible.

A business absolutely devoted to service will have only one worry about profits.  They will be embarrassingly large.

You don’t have to hold a position in order to be a leader.

Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.

To do more for the world than the world does for you – that is success.

There is one rule for the industrialist and that is: make the best quality goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the highest wages possible.

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

Don’t find fault, find a remedy.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.  Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

Employers only handle the money – it is the customer who pays the wages.

Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason so few engage in it.

The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said ‘faster horses.’

You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.
