San Francisco is my favorite city in the world. This love runs in the family. My mom loved it as well and passed down the awe and appreciation for this beautiful place early in my childhood. Ever since I was a little girl, the City by the Bay has held a special place in my heart. To this day, I smile when it comes into view and I am always a bit sad when I have to bid farewell. There are a few things you should know about The City. It goes by many different names, but "Frisco" isn't one of them. It's a derogative term and is never to be used. Ever. Individuals who use the reference in my presence are instantly viewed as ignorant outsiders who obviously have no social grace or appreciation for all that is wonderful in the world. (A bit harsh, but true.)
Besides the spectacular views and scenery, San Francisco has it all; Art, Business, History, Theater, Shopping, Fine Dining as well as some of the most remarkable residence you will ever meet. People from all different socio-economic, political and religious backgrounds live together, harmoniously. There is a level of tolerance there that I have not witnessed in any other place on earth. But how could it be otherwise when they live in the area surrounded by such natural and man-made beauty.
We'll go there. I promise. I'll use any excuse to visit and taking you will be a perfect opportunity.
