Hey Kid: Be A Traveler
One of the best ways to learn and to grow as a person is to travel whenever you get the chance. It doesn’t even matter where you go as long as you go whenever the opportunity arises. There is so much to see just in the United States. The possibilities are endless. Each journey will teach you something about life and other people. Some of this knowledge only comes from firsthand experience. You can’t learn everything by reading a book. (Besides, the experience is a lot more fun.) I was blessed as child that my parents liked to travel and so I was able to see many different states (and even Mexico and Canada) before I was married. I loved these adventures and I credit this early exposure to my love of travel as an adult. (At 7, my parents put me on a plane to Hawaii to stay with my cousins for a few weeks. I still remember it like it was yesterday.)
Sierra has really been wise in this area. At only 24, she has traveled to places I’ve only dreamed of including: New Zealand, Australia, Spain and Portugal. She loves to travel and looks for the opportunities and takes advantage of them while they are available.
There are few places I’d like to take you too. We’ll create our own memories. In the meantime, start thinking about where you’d like to go.
