1,000 Word: Reserved VIP
I love Disneyland. I really do. It’s one of my favorite places on the entire planet. There was a time when we made the trip to the Happiest Place on Earth at least twice a year. These days, I average about once every other year, but it’s always a treat. If you’ve gone to Disneyland with me you’ll know that I have no problem waiting 2-3 hours to watch the fireworks. They are my favorite attraction. I know where the best seats are and I don’t mind sitting and holding my spot. Leroy usually sits with me and the kids come and go while I save the space. It’s all worth it in the end.
This particular trip was a real treat. We went to “our spot” really early and ran into Sierra’s high school class mate Lizzy. She was a Disneyland “Cast Member” and her assignment that night was security at the VIP benches in front of the castle. These spots are reserved for special guests and it is the PRIME LOCATION for fireworks viewing. Lizzy told us that we could take the seats if they didn’t fill up and sure enough we got in on a bench. We were over the moon and you would have thought we had won the lottery.
