Reading List

I share my birthday with quite a few famous people including Cher and Mikhail Gorbachev but my favorite of all is Dr. Seuss.  In honor of his (and my) birthday, March is "National Reading Month" and the joy of reading get the attention that is due.

Reading is mental therapy for me and the simplest way for me to restore.  While I can easily lose myself in a sappy romance, I really enjoy historical fiction and non-fiction too (especially World War II era.)  I try to read something educational (in between sappy romances) to keep my brain awake, but they always take more effort.

I recently finished War Brides by Helen Bryan and have Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken and The Nazi Officer's Wife by Edith Hahn Beer are next on the list.  I'm currently reading The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic by Matthew Kelly.  This book has been really intersting and I've especially enjoyed the weekly discussions in a book club that I attend.  (I'm going to have to find a book club to attend on a regular basis.  It's been a great experience.)

Any recommendations?
